Greeting card featuring the beautiful Transverse Ladybird, Coccinella transversalis. Reproduced from an original watercolour painting by Cheryl Hodges. Greeting card 10 x 15cm, blank inside with brown recycled envelope.
Text on reverse of card reads:
Coccinella transversalis, commonly known as the Transverse Ladybird or Transverse Lady Beetle, is one of Australia’s most familiar ladybirds. With its bright orange-red wing covers and distinctive black markings, this small beetle can often be found in gardens, parks and bushland across Australia. Like most ladybirds, both the adults and their larvae are voracious predators of aphids, helping to keep these sap-sucking plant pests under control.
