Australian Painted Lady Butterfly Stickers (scientific name Vanessa kershawii), set of 3 - an Australian native butterfly. Size of sticker is approx 7.5cm x 5.1cm. Durable and water resistant with a matt finish, perfect for a laptop, drink bottle etc.
This species is widespread across Australia, and also occurs in New Zealand and Indonesia. The appearance of the male and female is quite similar. They can often be found resting with their wings open for minutes a time, absorbing sunshine and raising their body temperature. It is believed this is also to show their colourful wing patterns to their mates. The butterfly migrates in late winter and early spring from the northern regions of the east coast of Australia to the south-west.
