An original watercolour painting of the Common Fringe Lily - Thysanotus tuberosus ssp. tuberosus. Painting is unframed. Outer measurement is 24cm x 24cm square, inner window measures 15cm x 15cm.
The Common Fringe Lily is widespread across NSW and Victoria. It grows to around 40cm, flowering for several weeks in spring, though each flower only lasts for a single day.
The tubers taste watery and almost flavourless and were roasted and eaten by Aboriginal peoples. Most lily tubers are also edible raw.
Please note colours may be slightly different to what appears on your screen. Price includes postage in Australia, by Australia Post.
