259 Bicentennial Drive, Jerrabomberra
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October 2017, 10am - 4pm
As part of the Queanbeyan Art Trail Cheryl's studio will be open for visitors over the two days.
Cheryl paints her botanical works from live plant specimens, and as they wilt, fade, open, ripen, and die, changing their shape and colour, she refers to her photographs. However, as she often needs to view the original specimen, Cheryl’s studio in her home in Jerrabomberra is filled with vases, tins, boxes and drawers of plants, seedpods, shells, beetles and feathers.
Working drawings, paintings in progress and framed works are also on display, and cards, prints and other items will be available for purchase. Cheryl will be demonstrating throughout the weekend.
Many other studios in the Queanbeyan Palerang area will also be open over the weekend. To plan your Arts Trail itinerary and see who's involved this year, please visit http://www.visitqueanbeyan.com.au/qprc-arts-trail-2017 You can view the interactive map by clicking here.
